We list as many as we can count, but once you have all the bottles in front of you, maybe you will be the wiser. Amongst the reds and including the Rosado, we counted Mourvèdre, Syrah, Grenache, Malbec, Merlot, Sangiovese, Gamay and Pinot Noir. The whites include Semillon, Sauvignon, Arrufiac, Petit Courbu, Manseng, Viura, Verdejo, Viognier, Torrontés and Albariño. Adnams Explores Sauvignon Case

It's a testimony to the inherent quality of Sauvignon Blanc that it's planted in almost all corners of the world. It does vary markedly depending on the climate and soils of its environment, but it usually retains its varietal characteristics - crisp acidity, bright, fresh flavours and vibrant aromas. Cooler climates produce more of the 'green' aromas of pea pods, asparagus and green peppers, and warmer climates produce aromas and flavours in the tropical fruit spectrum - passion fruit, cumquats and pineapple.
